New species in the Pleurothallidinae (Orchidaceae) from Costa Rica

Abstract:

The following 37 species are described in preparation for the Handbook of the Orchids of Costa Rica, edited by R. L. Dressler. They include two new species of Dryadella (D. odontostele and D. sororcula), seven of Lepanthes (L. davidsei, L. dichroma, L. dolabriformis, L. lappacea, L. orbella, L. similis, and L. valerioi), nineteen of Pleurothallis (P. atwoodii, P. bitumida, P. bothros, P. chavezii, P. conochila, P. compressa, P. grayumii, P. imitor, P. ingramii, p. karenae, P. montezumae, P. oncoglossa, P. perennis, P. pilostoma, P. psichion, P. recula, P. scaphipetala, P. tintinabula, and P. turrialbae), five of Stelis (S. croatii, S. ingramii, S. karenae, S. morae, and S. oscitans) and four of Trichosalpinx (T. fruticosa, T. lankesteriana, T. ringens, and T. todziae).
