| Description | Flower of the Gourd Tree, Crescentia cujete, at Lyon Arboretum in the Manoa Valley, Oahu. I thought this flower looked similar to the red sausage tree flower; Wikipedia gives ' as a synonym for the sausage tree (see next set of photos). These flowers are open in the daytime and they're not heavy like the ' (sausage tree) flowers. |
