This tiny violet of the pine woods is rather uncommon at Frenchman's Forest Natural Area but common at Jonathan Dickinson State Park and other natural areas. I once made a goofy video about my "search" for this species in which I asked help from Otter, Woodpecker and Boar in finding it. When I realized how locally common the species was, I morphed the video into a strange woods walk instead: vimeo.com/21336970 I dropped the conversations with the animals and violet footage. I rather wish I had kept the original video.
