Tronco/Trunk: Tallo solitario, los segmentos muy bien definidos, café-anaranjado. / Solitary stem, the segments very well define, brownish-orange.

Diagnóstico/Diagnostic: El tronco es bastante particular pero no diagnóstico, además pocas palmas alcanzan tamaños altos. Trunk is quite particular but not diagnostic. Nonetheless, very few palms reach big sizes. Look also to the big pinnate leaves.
