"Herbs; stems terete, glabrous. Leaves broadly elliptic, to 10 x 5 cm, acute at both ends; irregularly toothed. Heads 7 x 7 mm, globose, terminal and upper axillary, 10-15 together; bracts 7 x 1 mm, hairy at apex, inner oblong, acute, outer smaller. Bisexual flowers few; corolla 4-6 mm long, glandular, of female flowers slender. Achenes ribbed, hairy."
