Bonamia Thouars

Shrubby climbers. Leaves entire. Inflorescences of dense, usually many-flowered, axillary or terminal cymes or panicles. Sepals equal or subequal. Corolla funnel-shaped, blue (in ours) or white, with mid-petaline areas hairy. Stamens 5. Ovary 2-locular. Styles 2, quite or almost separate, or joined for about half their length. Capsule 4-valved. Seeds 2-4.

Bonamia is a genus of the flowering plant family Convolvulaceae, commonly known as the bindweed family [1] and named after the French physician and botanist François Bonamy (1710-1786).[2] Members of the genus are commonly known as the Lady's Nightcap.[3]
