Description of Pentagonia:
One species: Pentagonia maroccana; shape pyriform, in cross section polygonal with 3 - 5 lateral swellings sometimes terminating in a horn, short (5 - 8 µm) collar, aperture circular, fundus with horn. Agglutinate shell composed of mineral particles like in Difflugia. Habitat: freshwater, sediments. Ref

Pentagonia is a genus of about 34 species of plants in the Rubiaceae family. Pentagonia species are native to Central America and northern South America, and grow in moist tropical forests below 900m. [1]
