Ficus cyclophylla is a species of plant in the Moraceae family. It is endemic to Brazil. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Along the Rio Negro in Brazil, people employ the latex of this plant to protect deep slashes and cuts from infection.
In the past the species has been confused with F. catappifolia or F. longifolia. It has a scattered distribution in areas of Atlantic forest in the north-east and south-east.

Distribucion en Costa Rica: Se encuentra en ambas vertientes: en la vertiente del Pacífico en el Golfo Dulce, en el Parque Nacional Santa Rosa, sector Pitilla, y en la vertiente Atlántica en el Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Barra del Colorado, en la Estación Biológica La Selva y en Amubri-Talamanca. Elevación: entre 0 y 1000 m.
Distribucion General: De Nicaragua a Sur América.
Arbol.
Arbol de 7 a 35 m, a veces epífito. Estípulas glabras, de 20 a 40 por 8 a 10 mm.
Hojas ovadas, de 14 a 28 (35) por 8 a 20 cm. Síconos pareados de 17 a 22 mm de diámetro, sésiles, con 2 brácteas enteras de más de 8 mm. Ostíolo elevado de 1 a 2 mm. Se reconoce por sus hojas grandes, largo-pecioladas, por su base cordada con lóbulos de más de 3 cm de longitud, y sus higos sésiles densamente cubiertos por pelos diminutos, usualmente de color amarillo claro.Isotype for Ficus duquei Dugand
