Mauria heterophylla Kunth

Arbol.
Árbol hasta de 20 m. de altura. Ramas jóvenes glabras.Hojas imparipinnadas, aromáticas. Pecíolo y peciolulos rojizos. De 2 a 4("6) pares de folíolos opuestos en el raquis, que miden de 3.5 a 14.2 por 1.3 a 5.5 cm., lanceolado-elípticos. Apice agudo o acuminado. Base levemente cuneada, usualmente asimétrica, de borde ondulado. El pecíolo es cilíndrico, glabro, hasta de 7.5 cm.
Inflorescencia en panículas terminales o axilares, hasta de 30 cm., puberulenta. Flores de blanco amarillento a cremosas, con 5 pétalos y 10 estambres. Frutos en drupas, de 5 a 13 por 4 a 7 mm., de ovoides a elipsoidales, de verde rojizo a anaranjadas cuando están maduras. Se reconoce por la coloración rojiza del pecíolo, raquis y peciolulos. Es una especie un poco variable, pues en sitios menores a 1000 m. las hojas presentan más de 4 pares de folíolos.Isosyntype for Mauria glauca Donn. Sm.
